Gene Stuart heads west over the Easter weekend for shows in Mayo and Roscommon. The Tyrone legend makes a welcome return to Bangor Erris on Saturday night, while Sunday night will see him on stage in the Saddlers Inn, Kingsland Boyle. Gene and the band are also playing a show in Foxford on 10 April.

Declan Nerney and Johnny Brady will be hoping to plough a straight furrow when they feature as special guests at the Longford Ploughing Match in Legan on 12 April. The two gentlemen will take part in the celebrity ploughing on the day.

The brother and sister team of Sean and Dolores Keane will perform a rare concert together at the Royal Theatre in Castlebar on Holy Saturday night, 4 April. They are members of the well-known Co Galway family and have performed separately at shows around Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA over several years.

Derek Ryan has been busy in the studios. He was over in London recording material for his next album. His first single of 2015, Cry, a self-penned number, has been issued from his album, The Simple Things. Derek is heading off to the UK in April and May for his concert tour, which includes a mix of old favourites, classic country and original material.

Alana Maher is a young singer from Swanlinbar, Co Cavan, whose debut single went on release last week. There’s More Where That Came From is a bouncy number from Alana, who hopes this will be the first of many.

The Indians will play a dance show in the Rhu Glen, Country Club, Slievrue, south Kilkenny (less than three miles from Waterford), on Easter Saturday night. Shawn Cuddy and his band will feature at the same venue on Saturday 11 April.
