The HDX Excavator Cutting Head was designed for both hedge-cutting and shredding vegetation. The head features a high torque piston motor for increased power for diggers with higher operating pressures.
Blaney have noted that it has been designed to produce efficient dispersal of collision forces with a chamber fully enclosing the motor, reinforced by endoskeletal ribs. This new design incorporates a more accessible hydraulic attachment layout. The HDX head uses a high speed rotor working in combination with integrated shark fin blades. The skids are also adjustable. An adjustable front cover allows for control over the entry rate of material. The head is heavy-duty and is intended for contractor use. The head has a list price of €9,500 plus VAT.
Slanetrac
Based in Meath, Slanetrac manufacture a range of excavator attachments including a finger bar hedge cutter, flail heads and saw heads.
The company manufactures two sizes of finger bar hedge cutters, a 1.5m version and a 1.8m version. Both offerings have individually replaceable cutting sections which are supplied with adjustable mounting brackets.
