Prices averaged out at an impressive €205/head at the Mayo Mule and Greyface hogget sale in Aurivo Mart, Ballinrobe, on Friday.
There was a general range of €185/head to €230/head, while a few exceptional lots were making from €245 to €260 and as high as €270 for a batch of 82kg very strong Mules. Given the current COVID-19 restrictions, there was a screen set up for people to view the sale in the bullock ring, while there was a great amount of activity from bidders online.
This pen of hoggets averaged 80kg and sold for €250/head.
