A conference has been organised by the Irish Farmers Journal and the Ulster Farmers’ Union to open the discussion around future milk pricing in Northern Ireland, and how this might contribute to a more sustainable industry.

The one-day conference will consider the challenges that lie ahead for NI dairy farmers and key issues to ensuring future profitability.

Speakers include Ian McCluggage from CAFRE, Michael Haverty from The Andersons Centre, Dr John Bailey from AFBI, Dr Joe Patton from Teagasc, Dr Laurence Shalloo from Teagasc and Chris Osborne from the Ulster Farmers’ Union.

The event is free to attend and takes place on Thursday 12 October in the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown, Co Armagh. Online registration is required before the event.
