Over the last two weeks, the land market has been dominated by large residential farms in the southeast of the country.
The 212 acres for five lots near Kilcotty in Wexford was one of these stand-out properties. It sold at auction in individual lots on Wednesday for almost €2.8m or over €13,200/ac.
The farm was owned by the late John Quinsey. It was previously a beef, sheep and tillage farm.
The property is located circa 2km from Enniscorthy and stretches across the townlands of Kilcotty, Cooladine, Kilpierce and Baurela.
