Police in the Borders are appealing for information after a sheep-worrying incident in Hawick. The incident occurred between 10am and 2pm on Sunday 12 November in a field to the rear of Marmion Road.

“The sheep was found with such serious injuries it had to be put down and the animal that attacked it would likely have blood on its face,” Inspector Carol Wood said. “This is the third reported incident of sheep worrying in the Hawick area in the past two months, and the second for this farmer.” Anyone with information is asked to contact Hawick Police Station on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
