A chilly start to today with frost, fog and icy stretches as the last of the rain, sleet and snow clears, according to Met Éireann. Scattered wintry showers in the west will become more widespread in the morning, dying out to leave a dry afternoon with spells of sunshine. It will be cold, with highest temperatures of 4°C to 7°C.
Scattered showers continuing tonight in western coastal areas but generally clear and very cold elsewhere. Lowest temperatures will range from 0°C to -3°C, leading to frost and icy stretches.
