There was a hive of activity at Warrington Equestrian in Kilkenny last Saturday, as the Moloney family hosted their final round of their autumn show jumping league.

In the 128cm pony division, victory stayed on home soil in the 70cm as Alice Moloney and Creaghduff Project Penny lodged the winning round, jumping clear in 34.59 seconds. League winner in this section was Hillary Brannigan and Tullowcussane Morning Jewel.

Brid Ryan and Biddys Spot the Star emerged victorious in the 80cm, when clear in 33.09. Taking the league title was Sarah O’Neill and Coolgrey Xena. Isobel Sheehan and Flash Dance also jumped clear to win the final leg of the 90cm, while Iseult Fleming and Miss Charming took the league title. Chloe Hughes Kennedy won the final round of the 1m, but it was Alice Moloney and Fearr An Star who claimed the league.

138cm

A runner up place in the final round of 80cm behind Daniel Ring (Flika) insured Sophie O’Callaghan and Ballyduff Babe the league. In the 90cm a solid performance from Jane Brennan and Sara saw them take the final round and the league.

Demonstrating similar form was Harriet Penfold and Bhil Du Vilon, who won the final of the 1m and the league. Jane Roche and Sandy led the victory lap in the 1.10m, but the league went to the runner-up in the class, Alexandra Hourigan and Aille Stewy.

148cm

The 148cm finals also went down to the wire and an impressive performance from Brid O´Keeffe and Harbour Dame saw her take the final round of the 80cm and the title with Harbour Mille. Kate O’Neill guided Disco Stu to victory in the final of the 90cm section jumping clear in 32.63. Ruth Brannigan won the league when with Rulahisu Poppy.

Orla Walsh and Glenflesk Patsy cemented the league when they took the final round of the 1m, when clear in 34.92. Victory in the final leg of the 1.10m went to Conor Campion and Coppenagh Vogue, clear in 33.67. The league title was secured by David Fleming and Rosies Bay. It was a good day for Conor Campion and Coppenagh Vogue as they also won the final round of the 1.20m and the league.

Horses

The horse section began with the 80cm class where Sophie Byrne and Penny won the final and Ciara Fennelly and Deelish Molly claimed the league. The final of the 90cm went to Olivia Byrne and Georgie Bee, clear in 33.23, while the league winner emerged as Ashlee McGuinness and Miss Lily Flight.

Placed second in the 80cm, Niamh Walsh and Amaretto Flight went on to take the 1m title, while Katy Russell and Arendsoog B, took the final leg, clear in 37.75. Harriet Penfold was back in the ribbons, winning the 1.10m with Playtime Cruise. Victory in the league went to Ciara Walsh and Innocent Voltaire.

Oliver Penfold had a great final, when he won the 1.20m league. He also filled the runner-up place with Chatsworth Danielle, clear in 49.91 and third with Sportsfield Silvery Fox, clear in 52.54. Winner of the final round was Gillian Costello and Lenamore Lux, clear in 44,93. Oliver completed his day by winning the final and the 1.30m league with Chatsworth Danielle.
