Ampertaine Opportunity was awarded the overall champion title at British Limousin Cattle Society premier sale by an Irish judge, Dovea genetics beef manager John Lynch.
This junior champion was bred by James McCay from Northern Ireland and is a son of the successful Ampertaine Gigolo.
Going back to a Ampertaine Elgin-bred dam, Opportunity comes from the most prominent lines in the renowned Ampertaine herd.
Securing the reserve spot under the Limerick native was Barrons Olso from the Barron family. This Homebryes Jamie-bred son goes back to Wilodge Cerberus and has won numerous prizes at summer shows.
The sale takes place on Saturday.
