Dairy operations includes three operating dairy business units with manufacturing operations across eight sites, each with its own manufacturing technology, product portfolio and supply chain challenges.
The opportunity has arisen following a retirement in the company.
The successful candidate, along with the current procurement team, will be an important contributor to this strategy.
What is procurement?
Procurement is the process of purchasing goods or services and is usually in reference to business spending. The purchasing is often done through a tendering or competitive bidding process. A procurement manager is responsible for ensuring that a company has a very clear and long-term strategy when purchasing goods and services.
About the role:
The procurement manager of dairy operations will be responsible for developing and leading a strategic approach to the procurement and material supply management processes; for the purchase of goods and services.
In this key role, the candidate will direct the procurement of goods and services for the dairy business units – and across the business as may be required. This will be done by leading and supporting the purchasing team members and colleagues with procurement processes, changes and updates of other procurement-related activities.
