Revenue’s latest list of tax defaulters covering 1 July to 30 September 2025 names five individuals for whom farming is an occupation.

Three farmers are listed as having settlements for the under-declaration of income tax and two appear for the misuse of marked gas oil (green diesel).

The list names company director, farmer and landlord James Bateman of Beechlawan, Fanningstown, Fedamore, Co Limerick as having settled a total sum of €97,516 for under-declaring income tax.

This settlement included tax of €57,971 (including a €3,070 surcharge), interest of €23,076 and penalties of €16,469.

Farmer and landlord Paul Kelly of Woodview, Castletown, Celbridge, Co Kildare settled with Revenue for a sum totalling €176,192 for under-declaring income tax.

The breakdown is made up of €103,978 in tax, interest of €41,021 and a €31,193 penalty.

Company director, farmer and landlord Andrew Ryan of Boherduff, Caherkelly, Grange, Co Limerick is listed as having been levied with €75,856 in tax, €33,057 in interest and €22,757 in penalties for an income tax settlement that totalled €131,670.

The defaulters list also names Damien Abbott of Curraguneen, Roscrea, Co Tipperary as having been fined €2,500 for a single charge of misusing green diesel and Brendan Kenny of Abbeyland, Eyrecourt, Ballinasloe, Co Galway as having been fined €3,000 for two charges of the same.
