Mary Phelan is a journalist with Irish Country Living where she manages the careers and education section and writes general features. She covers issues that affect primary, secondary and tertiary education and identifies employment opportunities, particularly within the agricultural sector. She also produces features on all aspects of rural life. She has been working in Irish Country Living since May 2010. Mary hails from a beef and sheep farm in Camross, Co Laois. She has a degree in Law with History from UCD and a Masters in International Journalism from DCU. Her interests outside of work include playing hockey, learning Arabic (!) and watching hurling and rugby.
