The Kverneland U-drill made its Irish show debut at the recent Crops & Spreaders event in OakPark. The U-dill is available either as a standard drill (U-drill) or as a grain and fertiliser version (U-drill plus). It comes in working widths of three, four and six metres with hopper capacities ranging from 3,000l to 4,350l.

The drill displayed on the day was the U-drill plus 4000, a four-metre folding grain and fertiliser drill, with a 3,000l hopper capacity. The hopper of the U-drill plus is divided lengthwise, with a 40:60 proportion.

The U-drill plus has been designed for precise fertiliser placement during sowing. It is able to apply fertiliser rates up to 400kg/ha (depending on speed and width). The hydraulic fan drive is powered from the tractor hydraulics.

Sprayer

Kverneland also exhibited the iXtrack T3 trailed sprayer at the event. This sprayer was designed with the focus on a short, low and compact machine. It’s available with two tank sizes – 2,600l and 3,200l. The sprayers come with boom widths from 18m to 30m. Optional extras include features such as section control, variable rate spreading, and documentation recording, such as field maps etc.

The tank design and valve panel in the latest models have been updated for increased user comfort.

The T3 comes with full Isobus compatibility as standard, meaning direct plug and play with any certified tractor terminal. It comes with the iXclean Pro automatic valve management system, in which all functions are controlled from the cab. Switching between filling, agitation, spraying, diluting and rinsing etc, is all done from the tractor seat. Other features include pneumatic or electric nozzle control, individual nozzle control, adjustable track width, and an optional steering axle.
