Jim and Noreen engaged with the Land Mobility Service to go through their options and see could we help find a suitable collaborator. Cathal, a suckler farmer selling weanlings, wanted to expand numbers and be able to finish some of the offspring – the Sexton farm was ideal. Both had land and a few stock, both liked farming but were struggling to make it work. We investigated the option of forming a partnership, allowing them to make the best use of their land, infrastructure and time. The service facilitated a registered partnership which has allowed them to benefit from young farmer schemes.
