Lemken and TFM have rescheduled their demo day in Carlow to 15 March, it will be in Tinryland GAA club just off the M9 at junction five.

On display will be the Lemken turn control pro (TCP) Juwel 8 plough, which is a huge step forward in plough automation, allowing the user full control of all plough functions from the comfort of the tractor cab.

This plough is fully Isobus-controlled and utilises GPS technology to allow the user to eliminate short ground. Without doubt, this is the most efficient plough of its type on the market today.

There will also be a Vari Diamant 11, seven-furrow semi mounted plough in action. This uses Lemken’s unique traction control system to transfer weight on to the rear of the tractor and helps greatly to reduce wheel slip and increase fuel efficiency while ploughing. The smaller Juwel 7 mounted plough will also be working in the field on the day.

A full range of Lemken discs and cultivators will be working the ground during the day. These will be both trailed and mounted versions with an array of the available consolidating rollers on the different machines. As many of these machines are eligible for Tams II grant assistance, they are sure to be of interest to many customers.

TFM and Lemken will also be displaying various harrow and drill combinations (both box and air-type drills) with the flagship one-pass combination being a fully Isobus-controlled 4m mounted folding Zirkon 12 power harrow and Solitair 9 air drill.

This machine is capable of variable rate seeding based on a prescription map created from a soil sample and yield-monitoring maps.

Lemken recently got into the weather-recording business and is developing its own range of weather stations for sale. The first one of these will be displayed on site.

There will be a full range of John Deere 6M and 6R tractors working on the day, including the flagship 7R model, the 7310R and the all-new, top-of-the-range 6R tractor, the 6250R.

John Deere AMS equipment including GPS, AutoTrac, section control and JD Link Telematics will be on show with a FarmSight team on hand to answer any queries.
