The 37th National Dairy Show returned to the Green Glens Arena in Millstreet over the weekend and it proved a very successful day for one Limerick family.
The Hannon family exhibited the supreme champion Lisnalty Megasire Rituel. This three-year-old homebred cow is classified VG88 and was the pick of Swiss judge Erhard Junker.
The second lactation cow is calved since last month and coming off the back of an 11,600kg lactation as a heifer.

Sired by Butz-Hill Megasire, she goes back on the VG88 classified cow Copeswood FEV Rituel. No stranger to the show ring, Megasire Rituel stood as intermediate champion at last year’s show.
