Titanic the Musical – 7-13 April: Kilkenny Musical Society are proud to present their 2019 production - Titanic The Musical. Titanic is set on the ocean liner RMS Titanic which sank on its maiden voyage on 15 April, 1912. Maury Yeston and Peter Stone’s musical tells the tragic story with compassionate, intelligent lyrics and soaring choral melodies. Full of memorable characters based on the real men and women on the ship, Titanic is a powerful, complex look at the making of a tragedy. The Sisters Brothers – 5 April: John C Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix blaze a trail of action, adventure and sly wit as they star in a thrilling western. Set in 1850s Oregon, the infamous duo of assassins, Eli and Charlie Sisters, chase a gold prospector and his unexpected ally. Based on the award-winning novel by Patrick deWitt, this gritty western is a wildly chaotic ride from start to finish.
Danny O’Brien – 6 April: Bringing his 2019 tour to the Spirit Store, Dundalk, Lock-In has already sold out at the Galway International Arts Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Danny has been performing stand-up comedy for the best part of a decade, headlining regularly at top comedy clubs and festivals to worldwide audiences. As the resident host and owner of The Comedy Crunch in Dublin – one of Ireland’s most successful comedy clubs – his friendly, high-energy and anecdotal style draws in an audience and brings on the big laughs with ease!
