ENJOY a nostalgic evening of song and story with Irish folk music legend Johnny McEvoy, as he celebrates five decades in the music industry. Considered one of the most enduring and talented singer-songwriters of the last century, Johnny got his first break when he played support to the Rolling Stones all the way back in 1965. Soon after he was touring the US, performing in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall. He had number one hits with Mursheen Durkin, The Boston Burglar, Nora, Those Brown Eyes and Long Before Your Time just to name a few. EXPERIENCE the next generation of traditional music and musicians as Glór and the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance co-present a series showcasing emerging trad talent. They have lined up an exciting programme of free lunchtime concerts, all taking place in the Glór Foyer in Ennis, Co Clare on Friday 8 February. Curated by Irish World Academy’s staff, these concerts will celebrate innovation and the development of traditional music and dance students in an informal setting.

With concerts, céilís, sessions, music masterclasses, dance workshops and more, The Gathering is a celebration of the best of Irish culture. This festival runs from 27 February to 3 March and will attract Irish culture enthusiasts from across the US, Britain, Europe and Ireland.
