Aside from the new 500R generation of self-propelled sprayers and a new 50ft draper combine header, John Deere presented the latest generation of 6M tractors.
As previously reported, a number of subtle updates have been introduced to the 17 model 6M lineup.
Most notable is the option of a new e19 fully powershift transmission which succeeds the CommandQuad Plus alternative as Deere’s flagship offering for the six-cylinder 6M range.
Further changes are inside the cab and arguably bring the 6M even closer to the 6R series in terms of spec.
Most major is the inclusion of a compact version of the 6R CommandArm multi-function armrest which is also fitted with a 10.1in G5 display and a new CommandX Plus joystick.
At a glance the new joystick appears similar to the CommandPro version in 6R models.
However, it is a simplified version featuring six assignable buttons and controls for two spools, two cruise speeds and an autosteer button. Keen observers may notice that, the rear view and wing mirror designs have been tweaked.
