Breen’s Ennis open days
FTMTA member firm and well-known CLAAS dealer, Breen’s Farm Machinery Ltd, is hosting two open days at its recently-opened Clare branch at the Gort Road Business Park in Ennis on Friday 28 February and Saturday 1 March, from midday until 8pm on Friday and from 10am to 6pm on Saturday. FTMTA president Conor Breen is managing director of the Cashel-based firm, which was founded by his parents Phil and Teresa in 1977, with the Clare branch opening last May.
The Ennis branch is led by Seamus Buckley as branch manager, with the support of Roger Tyrell in parts and Ricky Bailey on service.
The open days will provide an opportunity for farmers and contractors in Clare, Limerick and south Galway to view the CLAAS tractor and green-line machinery ranges, as well as displays from Takeuchi, Redrock, Kramer, Trioliet, Twose, Sulky, JF, ProDig, Hand Engineering, Zero Grazer and Cross Engineering among others.
There will be manufacturer and importer representatives on hand to speak with customers on their machinery needs. There will also be special offers available on new tractors, machinery, parts and lubricants. All registered guests will be entered in a draw for a CLAAS GPS guidance system.
FTMTA Grass & Muck 2014
Preparations are underway for FTMTA Grass & Muck at Gurteen Agriculture College on 14 May. Allocation of grass demonstration plots is nearly finalised and details will be communicated to exhibitors in the coming days.
The host college has made an additional demonstration area available and there will be nearly 30 exhibitors showing their grass harvesting and grass care machinery across nearly 80 acres.
There will also be demonstrations of loading machines at the silage pit, slurry spreading equipment, dung spreaders and reseeding technology.
There will be nearly 80 static stands from a variety of exhibitors.
All grass demonstration plots and most of the larger static stand spaces are now fully booked. There is a limited number of smaller shell stands available in a marquee. Any firms considering applying to exhibit at the event should contact Michael Fahy at 045 409309 or at show@ftmta.ie soon as possible.
