Krone

Farmhand put the Swadro TC 1370 four-rotor to work in Kilkenny last week, to demonstrate its raking abilities.

Some of the main changes the TC 1370 brought about with its introduction include a restyled trapezoidal main beam, modified hydraulic rotor arm suspension system and new control interface.

The TC 13 70 offers a variable working width from 10.8m to 13.7m and swath width from 1.4m to 2.6m. Each of the four rotors are fitted with 13 tine arms, the only difference being that the front tine arms have four double tines, while the rear arms have five double tines.

Rotor bogies are offered with four caster wheels as standard, while six caster wheels are optionally available.

The TC 1370 uses either Krone’s DS100 or DS500 terminal or the optional Isobus-compatible CCI 800/1200 terminal. A CCI A3 touch joystick is also optionally available, so too is the option of section control.

Malone

Following the launch of the Mayo manufacturers first rake in 2024, Malone put its Proline 610 twin-rotor rake offering to the test at Grass 2026.

The offering is a fixed 6.1m (20.5ft) working width. It is equipped with 2.8m (9.5ft) rotors, each fitted with 11 tine arms and running on four-wheel bogey systems.

Each arm uses four cranked lift tines. Standard features include manual swath width adjustment, steering axle, 230/55 R16 tyres, manual rotor height adjustment, a spare wheel and a parking stand.

An optional control box allows either the left or right rotors to be individually lifted if needs be. The firm announced at the event that it will be launching a wider rake at this year National Ploughing Championships in September.

SIP

Farmec demonstrated the SIP Star 930/28 TC with central delivery twin-rotor rake.

This offers an adjustable working width ranging from 8.15m to 9.25m and has been introduced to fill the gap between the Star 850 (7.24m to 8.30m) and Star 1000 (8.82m to 9.94m) models.

The central swath width can be varied from 1.26m to 2.36m. A continuously adjustable cam track allows swath width and formation to be tweaked to the crop and conditions.

Features include a newly designed headstock offering 155° of movement, integrated slip clutch and a new arched frame.

Optional specification includes hydraulic working height adjustment, electro hydraulic control box, hydro pneumatic suspension and walking tandem-axle, ground-following wheels.

McHale

McHale worked its R 68-78 twin rotor central delivery rake at Grass 2026. The R68-78 is the middle model in the range and offers a 6.8m to 7.8m working range, which is telescopically adjusted to gather up to three 3m swaths. Each rotor measures 3.2m and is equipped with 13 tine arms, each of which are fitted with four tines.

Both rotors features mechanical height adjustment as standard and are seated on six-wheel bogies. Other standard features include tine arm cam adjustment and individual rotor lift, along with a pivoting headstock and steering axle.

The heavy-duty driveline distributes power to each rotor via a Y-gearbox positioned on top of the main beam.

Samasz

Irish Samasz importers, Egmont Agri worked the Z2-780H model centre delivery twin-rotor rake model from Samasz’s three model Z2 range.

The Z2-780 is the smallest model in the range, accompanied by the Z2-840H (7.6-8.4m) and Z2-960 (8.8-9.6m) models.

The working width of the Z2-780H ranges from 7.2m to 7.6m and is hydraulically adjusted from the cab. Working height of each rotor is manually adjusted.

The rake features two 3.3m rotors, each fitted with 11 tine arms with four tine arms and is capable of producing swaths ranging from 1.5m to 2m wide. Other features include a two-point linkage pivoting headstock, a steering axle, four-wheel rotor bogies (optional six wheel), while individual rotor lift is also optional.

Kverneland

The Kverneland Group Ireland debuted the brands refreshed 9472 twin-rotor central delivery rake. The main changes to the updated model are cosmetic, in terms of styling while its specification remains the same.

The 9472 model offers a 7.2m working width and features a steered axle, which is steered via the two-point linkage headstock.

Each rotor features four wheels and Keeneland’s TerraLink Quattro system, that controls the rotors in three dimensions.

Each 2.95m rotor is fitted with 11 curved tine arms and four Duo tines. The working height of each rotor is manually adjustable. Swath width is also adjustable from 1.2m to 2.2m.
