John Deere has expanded its front loader range, with the introduction of the new 665R and 685R models, to further complement the latest Large and Xtra Large Frame tractors.
Visibility has been a key development area for the new 665R and 685R loaders, which can also be fitted with an optional multi-position camera, positioned on either the boom or torque tube and connecting directly into the loader harness.
Mounting and dismounting has also been simplified with the new R series models.
New latch point cutouts allow operators to visually confirm correct attachment from the cab, reducing uncertainty and time. In addition, a new two position bucket level indicator helps operators maintain correct attachment angles when switching between implements.
A redesigned underslung mechanical self levelling system and low-profile hose routing further improves visibility. Both the 665R and 685R loaders benefit from a revised geometry, which provides an additional eight degrees of rollback angle, improving load retention and reducing spillage.

This gain is achieved through a combination of a new angle plate position on the loader and updated bucket latching point geometry.
The 665R and 685R can also be ordered with the ‘technology package’, which features dynamic weighing system, level to horizon and return to position functions.
Serviceability has been improved, with the addition of a central greasing system. Meanwhile, separate electrical and hydraulic connections improve connection stability and future upgradeability.
All loaders are equipped as standard with a new electrical architecture, controllers and main harness, allowing additional features, such as suspension, lights, camera or the technology package to be added later.
Shipments of the new range will start in April 2027.
