The Deutz-Fahr C6000 combine is set to replace the 6040 HTS series of combines. The new C6000 will comprise two models the C6205 and the C6205 TS. Both will be powered by Deutz TCD L6 T4F 6.1 L engines, delivering a rated power of 230hp (169kW) and a maximum power of 250hp (184kW)
The combine has received a modern facelift with new side panels, and the biggest change is the addition of the Evo 2 Commander Cab. The new cab provides higher standards of comfort and technology compared with the 6040. A full report on this combine will feature in next week’s paper.
John Deere W and T Series combines have undergone a comprehensive redesign for the 2016 harvest.
Many components have been changed to achieve improved straw walker combine performance.
The combination of the largest active separation area on the market and an enlarged cleaning shoe area enables operators to achieve an increase in output of up to 15%, according to John Deere.
The Irish Farmers Journal will feature more on these new developments in the future.
As a response to the needs of modern agriculture for reduced soil compaction, BKT has developed the new RIB 713 with improved flexion (IF) technology.
Increased flexion technology allows for heavier load carrying capacity at the same inflation pressures compared with a standard tyre of the same size.
This feature, along with a larger footprint area, provides uniform weight distribution and flotation properties.
The RIB 713 tyre has steel belting for increased stubble and penetration resistance.
In addition, “D” speed rating ensures that the RIB 713 tyre runs up to 40mph (65 km/h) on the road.
This week’s Toplink machine of the week is a John Deere 975 combine with 3,700 hours, an SG2 cab and 16ft cut. For further details, contact Nick Dunican on 086-2782479.
