Loncin, the Chinese quad brand, will make its Ploughing debut in Tullamore next week. Loncin is imported into Ireland and the UK by DAVMO Ltd based in Kells, Co Meath and distributed by its dealer network which currently comprises 11 dealers spread throughout the country.
With a relatively new presence on the Irish market, the price-competitive brand has made a strong inroad on both agricultural and recreational markets to date.
In total, five XWolf models are set to be displayed including: the 200cc XWolf 200, 300cc XWolf 300, 550cc XWolf 550, 700cc XWolf 700 and the 1,000cc XWolf 1000 alongside a UTX700 side-by-side UTV model.
According to the importer, the XWolf 300 has proved a popular seller on the Irish market, partially due to many other manufacturers moving away from the 250-300cc category.
It is fitted with an in-house-built 271cc single-cylinder engine which has been married with a Loncin-built belt-driven CVT.
In terms of chassis and suspension, the XWolf is equipped with double A-arm front setup and a rear fixed swing arm design. Aside from being fully road legal as standard, the XWolf 300 is fitted with front and rear bull bars.
The XWolf 1000 sits at the larger end of the power scale and is suited for recreational use or those maximising its towing capacity. It is fitted with a 976cc V-Twin engine and Loncin’s belt-driven CVT transmission. It is equipped with front and rear independent suspension with 235mm of travel upfront and 255mm at the rear.
