The National Ploughing Championships provided the platform for Kubota to expand its implement offering in Ireland, with the introduction of its DSM twin-disc fertiliser spreader range.
The hydraulically controlled DSM 1100 was the first model from the range to go on display in Ireland.
The manufacturer says the introduction of the range will broaden the choice of Kubota implements available to Irish farmers.
The DSM range offers hopper capacities from 1,100 to 2,000 litres, with spreading widths of 10m up to 28m.
The range uses Kubota’s twin-disc spreading system, which feeds fertiliser centrally onto the spreading discs before accelerating it towards the vanes.
The Kubota system uses eight vanes per disc, while the discharge point can be adjusted to suit the physical properties of different fertilisers.
In 2012, the Kubota Corporation acquired the Kverneland Group.
The collaboration between the two brands has led to the launch of Kubota-branded agricultural implements in various markets over the years, including Ireland.
