A major attraction on the Kuhn stand was its new GMD 15030 plain disc butterfly mower combination. Claiming to offer the widest cutting width mounted mower on the market, the mower folds to cover 14.5m (47.6ft) when combined with a 3.1m front mower. For a big unit, the rear unit is compact in transport mode and uses the same architecture as other butterfly mowers from Kuhn. Its design utilises a double folding cutter bar, allowing it to fold to 3m wide and under 4m high for transport.

The rear mowing unit is equipped with four 3.1m Optidisc Elite cutter bars (two on each side), each of which carries seven discs. The design uses patented gearboxes to transfer power to the outer cutter bars, while also serving as a pivot for following ground contours and compact folding for transport. A patented hydraulic cylinder between each of the two mower beds on either side keeps the optimum distance between the beds to avoid vanes of uncut grass, while making sure the pressure is balanced across the entire working width. Weighing in at 3.8t and requiring a minimum of 230hp, Kuhn claim the GMD 15030 is capable of covering up to 20ha/hour.
