Farmhand, the Irish importers of Krone, Amazone and Quicke brands, is set to put on quite a spectacle at Grass 2026 – both in the live working demonstrations throughout the day and on its stand back in the exhibitor trade village.
Present in a large majority of demonstration categories, Farmhand will demonstrate eight flagship Krone machines. One of these is the brand new CombiPack HDP 165XC combination round baler, which will make its first ever Irish show appearance following its launch at Agritechnica last year.
Kicking off the morning within the mowing category, Farmhand will demonstrate the renowned Big M 450 alongside a set of EasyCut F400CV Fold front mower and rear EasyCut B880CV butterfly mowers with the Big Swath System.
This rear combination is equipped with the Big Swath cross conveyor rear auger grouping system, in place of the Collect belt grouping system.
Used on the Big M series, the system uses 45cm diameter augers to channel grass flow to the centre with no losses.
Next up, in the tedding category Farmhand will demonstrate the KWT 1600 14-rotor trailed tedder, the second-largest in its range after the 18-rotor KWT 2000 model.
With a working width of 15.3m, the KWT 1600 features a double-jointed contour control system independent of its running gear.
There is also a forced three-point linkage-engaged steering system. Both the driveline and rotor gearboxes are said to be maintenance free.

The Big X 1180 will flex its full 1,156hp in the forage harvester demonstration.
Before harvesting gets underway, the Swadro TC1370 four-rotor rake will be called upon. It offers a 10.8m to 13.7m working width and uses all Krone’s proven technology, including its hydraulic cardanic rotor suspension with its Jet Effect system, whereby the leading bogie wheels are the first to lift and last to lower. Other features include electronic rotor height adjustment, integrated vibration damping and an optional section control system.
The new CombiPack HDP 165XC combi baler claims up to 30% more throughput over its competitors and 15% higher-density bales.
The redesigned baler uses direct-drive gearboxes instead of chains, and features a variable speed pickup with a 41-knife chopping unit, both inspired by the brands Big Pack and forage wagon ranges.

The KWT 1600 14 rotor tedder offers a 15.3m working width.
Other features include an automatic-switching twin-binding unit.
The platform moves away from the Comprima’s tandem-axle setup to a single axle fitted with 650/65 R26.5 tyres as standard. However, options up to 30.5in are available.
The latest model RX 430 43m3 forage wagon will also work on the day. Features of the RX 430 include a 2.1m wide hydraulic drive pickup, either the OptiGrass 37 or OptiGrass 28 chopping units, offering 40 or 54 knives for chop lengths as short as 37mm or 28mm.
Again, chains and sprockets are kept to a minimum, with the rotor driven via a planetary gearbox and large PowerBelt.
Last but certainly not least is the Krone Big X 1180 flagship forager harvester which will also work on the day. The Big X 1180 is powered by a 24l V12 Liebherr engine which produces a massive 1,156hp.

The RX 370 offers a 37m3 capacity and the latest OptiGrass cutting system.
It is also available with the Krone lift cab, for increased visibility when harvesting tall crops like maize.
The machine has the option of installing ‘AgriNIR’ online sensors to supply data on the crop’s moisture and nutrient levels, including dry matter, starch, crude protein etc.
On the Farmhand stand, visitors can expect to see a range of other machines including mowers, tedders, rakes, a smaller AX 310 forage wagon and an Amazone ZA-V 2600 fertiliser spreader.

A set of EasyCut B880CV rear butterfly mowers and the F400Cv front mower will work alongside the Big M 450 self-propelled mower.

The Swadro TC 1370 four-rotor rake will also be demonstrated.
