Teagle launched the Tomahawk 6200 ‘Power Drive’ at Lamma. The new mounted model combines PTO fan drive with the firm’s latest hydraulic drive and control system for processing straw and hay bales. Weighing in at 1,577kg, Teagle says the 6200P is suitable for tractors from 90hp.
Teagle’s tried-and-tested Wi-Fi control operates all functions, as well as incorporating a push-button pause/resume spreading feature.
The load on the cross beater is monitored, with an auto reverse function automatically operating when it is overloaded to allow the operator to focus on livestock. The bale chamber can accommodate round bales up to 1.5m (5’) in diameter or full-size rectangular bales up to 2.8m long.

Teagle says the low-speed cross beater with auto-reverse function teases the bale apart, minimising the amount of dust created and leaving straw long.
It says straw is evenly spread up to 20m by an updated fan and paddle design, via the three stage 280° swivel chute, delivering straw to either side or in front of the machine.
The mechanical, hydraulic and electronic systems used in the machine have been tried and tested in other models in the Tomahawk range.
