RMH, an Israeli company and diet feeder manufacturer, with a presence in both trailed and self-propelled mixer wagons markets is set to unveil a fully autonomous electric feeding robot at the French Innov Space show, set to take place from 15 to 17 September.
Based on 3D drawings, the Nexus appears to be a futuristic looking solution, capable of carrying out all the operations traditionally associated with a self-propelled mixer wagon, loading, weighing, mixing and distribution.
The feeder is equipped with a 6m3 tub, which is filled by the traditional type milling head/arm. For the best possible manoeuvrability, the Nexus is equipped with four-wheel steering and four-wheel drive.
The manufacturer quotes a run time of 2.5-3 hours from its 48kWh battery pack. The feeder wagon features a patented battery pack replacement system which claims a reduction in the time it takes to swap batteries, which is quoted to just takes a matter of minutes.
RMH has said that no specific infrastructure is required for on farm installation.
