The head up display will show data such as engine rpm and speed on the windscreen in front of the operator.

Valtra recently showcased its final head-up display design, which will be available to order on its T and N models through Valtra’s Unlimited studio by the end of 2020.
Head-up displays have been around years in the automotive industry but for those not so common with the term, it refers to systems that project vehicle data such as speed, engine rpm and gear on to the windscreen in the driver’s line of sight.
Adapting this technology to a tractor is more difficult, so Valtra has an LCD display mounted between two panes of glass that form the tractor’s windscreen to create the display that they call SmartGlass. As well as the data mentioned, the display will show hitch position and details relating to factory-fitted loaders.

SmartGlass is being aimed at front loader work in particular, where the operator can view information about the tractor without taking their eyes off the task.
Information such as tipping angle and load weight will be some of the loader-related features of the system.
The operator will be able to fully configure the display from the tractor’s SmartTouch control terminal.
