Czech company Zetor is celebrating the 20th birthday of one of its most well-known tractors – the Forterra. Since 1998, 21,500 units have been sold to more than 55 countries around the globe.

The tractor is based on prototypes from the unified series III, the first prototypes of which go back to 1974. In this time, the tractor has gone through a number of changes including meeting European emission regulations. The current HD model is equipped with air brakes, suspended front axle and ECO 40 transmission which enables the tractor to run at 40km/h at 1,750 engine RPM.

Marián Lipovský, managing director of Zetor Tractors, said: “The jubilee is proof that the decision was right. Forterra has been with us for 20 years. We appreciate the interest of its owners and we believe that the innovations will attract even more fans, and the tractor will be here with us for many more years.”
