Everyone in Macra na Feirme is looking forward to an exciting three days at the National Ploughing Championships where the organisation will showcase a variety of competitions, agricultural programmes and events.
Macra will launch its inaugural Harry Ferguson Tractor Driver Safety Award, where 60 young farmers (20 each day) will display their safe tractor driving ability to the crowd in the hope of being crowned the Macra na Feirme/Harry Ferguson Tractor Driver Safety Award winner for 2017.
Some of the candidates for the Macra na Feirme/FBD Young Farmer of the Year 2017 will be introduced, while participants in the Macra na Feirme Young Farmer Skillnet Beef Sustainability Programme in association with Dawn Meats will also be unveiled.

For those interested in the lighter side of events, there will be tractorpool karaoke. Think of James Corden in LA but transfer it to a tractor and you will be close.
Finally, the annual Macra ploughing class competition in association with the National Ploughing Association will take place on Wednesday 20 September.
