As reported on www.farmersjournal.ie last night, Denis Duggan has today been announced as the new CEO of Macra ne Feirme.
Duggan will take up the role in October of this year, following the announcement that current CEO Edmund Connolly will be stepping down. Connolly is the longest-serving CEO at the organisation, having served for eight years, but is now leaving to take up a new role with the South East Regional Skills Forum.
A wealth of knowledge

Duggan, who hails from Tipperary, has been a regional development executive with Enterprise Ireland for the last number of years and has vast experience in the area of business development.
Speaking of the announcement, Macra president Sean Finan welcomed the appointment of Duggan and the experience he will bring to the organisation.
