Navan-baseed auctioneers Smith Harrington is bringing a circa 67ac farm to auction later on this month.

Running to 64.66ac (26.17ha) the lands at Kingstown Hayes, Navan, Co Meath, are described as being of excellent quality.

Laid out in three large divisions which contain a mixture of mature trees and hedgerows it is currently used for tillage. The holding is let for the 2022 growing season and the crop will be removed by the end of August 2022.

With only approximately 150m fronting onto the road, the bulk of the holding runs back from the road and can be accessed via a right of way on a laneway.

Farming area

Farms similar to this in the east of the country have sold for anywhere between €12,000/ac to €15,000/ac with this price range broken on rare occasions so expect this farm to be comfortably within that range.

Excellently located in an area with a solid tillage heritage, it is only 5km from Navan, 6km from the M3 and 6km from the N2.

Unless this farm is sold beforehand, an auction is scheduled to take place at 3pm on Thursday 24 March in the offices of Smith Harrington 8-9 Bridge St, Navan, Co Meath.
