I’m told a mistake of mammoth proportions was made by the restaurant hosting the annual Munster Hereford Breeders dinner last Sunday, when Angus steak was advertised on a customised menu.

Realising the blunder, restaurant staff snatched the menus from the tables and returned with fresh menus hot off the printing press, offering Hereford steak instead.

However, all ended well when the steaks and spuds appeared and the breeders tucked in.
