Merlo recently launched its new Turbofarmer model, the TF65.9T-170-HF. The all new TF65.9T-170-HF sits in the firm’s high-capacity range of telehandlers and is said to be appeal to all industries including agriculture, to industrial as well as construction applications.

The new TF65.9 comprises three different specifications, beginning with the base model TF65.9. There is the option of cab suspension on the TF65.9TCS-170-HF or the flagship TF65.9TCS-170 CVTRONIC-HF, which is fitted with a stepless CVT transmission and cab suspension.

The CVTronic transmission has twin pumps for increased torque in addition to the standard two-speed hydrostatic unit on the other variants. Regardless of the transmission, each has a top speed of 40km/h.

Underneath the bonnet of each variant is a Stage V 4.5l FPT four-cylinder engine which outputs 170hp. Each machine offers a 6,500kg lift capacity and a maximum lift height of 8.8m.

The TF65.9 is fitted with load-sensing hydraulics producing a flow rate of 160l/min from the variable displacement pump. Boom suspension can be fitted as an optional extra.
