All co-ops have held their prices for December supplies of milk. This week, LacPatrick and Carbery held milk prices at 33.91c/l and 34.78c/l respectively, excluding VAT.
Last week, Lakeland Dairies, Kerry and Arrabawn held at 34.62c/l, 34.62c/l and 35.1c/l, excluding VAT. Aurivo, Dairygold and Glanbia all held also, at 34.62c/l, 34.15c/l and 33.20c/l, excluding VAT. While all co-ops held their prices for December, two co-op chairs issued milk price warnings.
Henry Corbally of Glanbia Ireland said: “Current market returns are considerably lower than our milk price, therefore price adjustments would seem inevitable over the coming months.”

The chair of LacPatrick, Andrew McConkey also issued a warning on prices and said there are difficulties ahead.
“We are facing into what is likely to be a challenging year in terms of milk price with the global market lagging well behind current milk prices.”
