Farmer Ashley O’Reilly is appealing for information after his mobile sheep race was stolen from his farmyard, just outside Donard, Co Wicklow, on Saturday.

“They didn't take any gates or even the bars for putting the wheels up on it, just the mobile race trailer,” O’Reilly said.

“Someone saw them Saturday evening and thought it was funny having a mobile race on the back of a trailer.”

It was a Cormac mobile race unit with an estimated value of around €1,900.

The gardaí have been informed and anyone with any information is asked to come forward.
