Cattle trade kicks on
The cattle trade is continuing to kick on and IFA livestock chair Angus Woods has advised feeders selling cattle to push agents and factories hard on price as numbers are tight and in high demand. Be SunSmart this summer
IFA and the Irish Cancer Society are reminding farmers to protect their skin and reduce the risk of skin cancer during the summer months. Around one death every week in Ireland is related to sun exposure at work. So make sure to use sunscreen, organise the day so you’re in shade between 11am and 3pm if you can, and check your skin regularly for changes. More SunSmart tips at www.ifa.ie.
