Macra na Feirme will launch its calendar highlighting positive mental health at the National Ploughing Championships.

Created in partnership with St Patrick’s Mental Health Services ‘‘Walk in my Shoes’’ campaign, the calendar is a tongue-in-cheek look at Macra and young farmers, but will raise the serious issue of protecting your mental health.

The limited edition calendar will be on sale at the Ploughing for €10 and stocks are expected to sell quickly.

The calendars will also be available from the Irish Farmers Journal stand and the Walk in my Shoes/St Patrick’s Mental Health Services stand, which can be found in the health and wellness area.

Come along and visit the Macra na Feirme stand at the National Ploughing Championships next week for lots of competitions, entertainment and exclusive member services.

This year, there will be a members-only area where you can chill out, use the free wifi and be entertained by an on-site DJ. Bring your membership card to access members’ services.

Not a member yet? No problem. For the first time ever, Macra can sign up members straight away at the stand, so you can immediately benefit. Just bring along €25 to sign up.

Succession

Macra’s agricultural manager and the land mobility programme manager will be on site for the three days to talk to you about young farmer and succession issues.

FBD Young Farmer of the Year, Jonathan Marry, will be around all day on Wednesday to greet visitors to the stand.

You’ll find Macra na Feirme on stand 401, row 23, block three.
