There were plenty of buyers keen to secure grazing cattle at Dungannon Mart in Co Tyrone on 4 March. The calf and weanling ring had a particularly strong turnout of stock and a large crowd ringside.

Fewer numbers of cattle were offered in the beef and store ring, however, strong demand was still there, particularly for heavy forward cattle.

Prices for heavy cattle peaked at £2,560 (377p/kg) for a June 2024-born Charolais bullock weighing 680kg.
