Breeding sheep trade
The recent dip in fat lamb prices seems to have had no impact on the breeding sheep trade. Overall, an entry of 1,511 ewe lambs on Tuesday sold to an average price of £202.
The strongest lambs on offer made over £230, with the run of lots selling for £190 to £210.
Plainer and smaller lambs made around the £170 mark and only a few lots changed hands for less than £160 on the day.
