Sizzling trade for Charollais females
A sale of Charollais females at Dungannon Farmers Mart on Monday, 27 October saw 45 shearling ewes sell for an average of 944gns and 35 ewe lambs making an average of 1,363gns.
The top price of the day was for a Springhill ewe lamb from Graham Foster, Newtownstewart, which sold for 4,800gns. This ewe lamb was sired by Springhill Crackerjack and out of an Oakchurch ewe.

The same vendor also sold to 4,400gns and averaged 2,265gns for ten ewe lambs sold.
In the shearling ewe section, the highest price was 2,800gns paid to George and Jason Booth, Stewartstown for a ewe sired by Beechview Boom.
