This year’s Hall of Fame Awards took place in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, on Sunday evening, with 10 bovine, four equine and nine ovine breed societies participating, representing 19 counties. Guest of honour was Michael Berkery, chair of the FBD Trust, who presented the recipients with their awards.
He was ably assisted by Stephen Crowley, CEO of Herdwatch, sponsor of the bovine section; Denis Duggan, CEO of Horse Sport Ireland, sponsor of the equine section; and Alan Connaughton, Kepak Group, sponsor of the ovine section.

Dan Ryan, ScanInsight, received the FBD National Hall of Fame Farmers Oscar Award, presented by Ursula Kelly, CEO of Cormac Tagging.
John O’Sullivan, chair of the Hodson Bay Group received the FBD National Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award.
Staying with tradition, TR Dallas kept the 380 guests entertained with a fabulous selection of country music when the awards ceremony had concluded.
