One of the last agricultural shows of the year - the Royal Meath Show in Trim - always attracts a tremendous display of cattle in the northeast region.
This year was no different, with a fantastic show of cattle across all breeds on Sunday 7 September.
It was a special outing for Eddie Daly from Summerhill with his Charolais bull Clonmahon Vadim ET, as it went on to be crowned supreme champion of the show after claiming the overall champion Charolais title earlier in the day.
Experienced judge Sam Coleman from Northern Ireland picked Daly's bull ahead of some powerful opposition, including national champions and some terrific commercials.
Neptune son
Born in September 2023, Vadim is a son of the French sire Neptune and the Texan Gie-sired daughter Leagaun Galway.
Standing reserve to Vadim was the much acclaimed commercial calf champion Baby Magic, exhibited by Conor Craig from Co Longford.

This stylish black Limousin heifer calf has been winning all round her this summer, including the overall calf championship at Tullamore last month.
Baby Magic is the result of an embryo from the herd of Gareth Small in Co Down, who had some major triumphs with its mother Black Magic.
Limousin
Heading up the battle of the breeds was the Limousin group of five, with the Herefords in second.
Leading the Limousin charge was Carrickmore Uphoria ET from the Connell brothers in Co Meath.
Born in September 2023, Uphoria is a daughter of Ampertaine Elgin and the one and only Baileys Ice Princess.
Hereford
Securing the overall champion Hereford title was Corlismorepoll 1 Sydney 233 for Sean and Gary McKiernan from Co Cavan.
This powerful in-calf heifer has been at the top of the line at many shows this summer, as well as picking up a number of breed and interbreed titles.
Belgian Blue
Heatherview Roxie keeps on racking up the ribbons for Laois breeders Tommy and Pauline Fitzgerald, as she won the overall champion Belgian Blue.
The Boherard Overdose daughter has been the top girl in the Blue ring for some time now, most recently winning supreme champion in Tullamore.
Aberdeen Angus
Leo McEnroe made the short trip from Virginia, Co Cavan, worthwhile when he was awarded the champion Angus title by judge John Blackburn.
Clinching the title for the Lisduff herd was its senior red stock bull Dairemor Red Tulip, a January 2020-born son of Dairemor Red Rob.
Fellow Cavan breeders Pat and Finbar Cahill hit the high note in the Leinster Aberdeen Angus club calf championship with Shankill Martha, a December 2024-born daughter of Lavally Ultra.
Shorthorn
The show queen Ricketstown Flossy Sky returned to the show ring for Conor Murphy from Co Carlow and achieved what she has done on so many occasions over the years, championship honours.
The Hildaland Laird daughter was shown alongside her 2025-born heifer calf.
Simmentals
This year's show played host to the North Eastern Simmental Club calf finals.
Clinching this year's title was the Connolly family from Co Leitrim with Ardunsaghan Sarah Beth, a September 2024-born daughter of Curaheen Wakeman ET.
She pipped Kilkitt Super Lady from the Brady family in Co Monaghan into reserve.

Carbery Ramona, brought out by the McGarrys from Co Longford, stood supreme Simmental champion, with the Connolly family in reserve with the northeastern calf champion Ardunsaghan Sarah Beth.
Christopher Donegan Memorial Cup
It was a memorable day for Tomas Williams from Mullagh, Co Cavan, as he won the young stock person class and in doing so took home the Christopher Donegan Memorial Cup.
Meanwhile, JK Eder Eliza 6 came through in pole position in a strong contest of dairy cattle for Joe Connell from Co Dublin.
