Growing in popularity in recent years, red Angus cattle are really making a name for themselves across Ireland and Europe with some record breaking prices. Like the blacks, they offer some exceptional attributes, which has seen them become one of the largest breeds of Cattle in Canada and the U.S.

This weekend will see the first ever all red Angus sale in Ireland and indeed Europe, labeled – the Lisduff Red Legacy Sale. Owned and run by Leo McEnroe from Virginia in Co Cavan, the Lisduff herd has built up a strong portfolio of red and black Angus cows since its foundation in the early 90s.

The sale will consist of 40 breeding females, ranging from maidens to in-calf heifers and cows with calves at foot, as well as two choice young bulls.
