Tullamore Show Beltex male champion 2026 Shanderg Magician has set a new south of Ireland Beltex male record in a private sale to Valley View Flock, Derbyshire, England.
Reaching €5,000, Shanderg Magician outshines the previous record of €4,000 set in 2023 by fellow breeder Declan Robinson from Co Donegal.
The record ram lamb, bred by Cathal Tuohy from the Shanderg flock, is sired by Shanderg Loki, which also lifted the male champion title in Tullamore as a lamb in 2025 – and was later awarded reserve overall champion of the Beltex section the same day.
His dam, also bred by Cathal, is Shanderg Kimberly.
“A standout since birth, I can’t wait to see how this boy goes on and develops after a super show season this year as a lamb,” said Cathal.
Buyer Kane Clamp said: “It was a pleasure and honour to get a chance to bring him back to the Valley View Flock,” and described the purchase as the best opportunity he has had in a long while.
