Charolais sales
Pedigree cattle sales will get underway this weekend on Friday 7 November with the unhaltered sale of 35 pedigree Charolais heifers in Roscommon Mart.
Featuring a range of in-calf and maiden heifers, judging will commence at 5pm on the day with the sale taking place at 7pm, ringside and online through MartEye.
Also taking place on Friday 7 November is the Northern Ireland Charolais Club’s show and sale of bulls in Swatragh Livestock Mart.
On offer there will be over 70 Charolais bulls all available for export on the day. Judging will get underway at 4pm with the sale taking place at 7pm, ringside and online through MartEye.
The Irish Charolais Cattle Society will host its autumn show and sale of bulls in Golden Vale Mart, Tullamore, on Saturday 8 November.
Consisting of 77 bulls, the sale will take place at 12.30pm, with bidding ringside and online through LSL.
Premier Shorthorn Sale
Saturday 8 November will also see the Irish Shorthorn Cattle Society hold its Premier show and sale of bulls and heifers. That takes place at the showgrounds in Carrick-on-Shannon.
Catalogued for the sale are eight top quality young bulls and 35 elite heifers, all of which will be pre-sale inspected and tested TB free.
For buyers travelling from Northern Ireland, all animals are export-tested and will be eligible for export on the day. Judging kicks off at 9am followed by the sale at 12.30pm, ringside and online through MartBids.
Elite commercial cattle sale
Finally, some of the finest commercial cattle in the country will travel to Stranorlar Livestock Mart in Co Donegal this weekend for the Elite commercial cattle show and sale.
Friday will see the show take centre stage with the auction on Saturday.
Once again bidding will be ringside and online through MartEye.
