Some of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s most talented young stock persons are gearing up for Sunday’s FBD All-Ireland Young Stock Person Finals at Ballinrobe Show. Organised by the Irish Shows Association in conjunction with FBD Insurance and the Irish Farmers Journal, the competition is open to males and females from eight to 25 years old.
All participants in Sunday’s final will have qualified at local agricultural shows throughout the summer, where they displayed exceptional stockperson skills.
Approximately 25 young people will take part in the competition across the junior, intermediate and senior age categories.

The finalists will be judged based on a range of criteria, including, animal preparation, ringcraft, stock judging, short interviews with the judges, and much more. Proceedings will get underway at 11am culminating with the presentations to the winners at approximately 2.30pm.
