The first director for Scotland has been appointed by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) in order to ensure the needs of the country’s farmers, growers and stakeholders are recognised.
Strategy director for Dairy, Paul Flanagan, was appointed to the new role of director last week and he intends to continue his dairy responsibilities.
Paul will become the main contact for the Scottish Government as well as other food and farming organisations.

The role will last for an initial period of 12 months before the needs of Scotland are reviewed at that time.
